ADMIXTURES
DELVO SYSTEM -The manufacture and use of concrete has always produced waste: waste of a certain percentage of concrete itself, of its components, of labor and equipment costs, of the cost of adhering to environmental regulations. Because plastic concrete is a perishable material whose useful life is only a few hours in length, delays in usage or rejection of a load frequently mean not only a loss of investment in the concrete itself, but also additional losses involved in disposing or reclaiming the material.
The DELVO System is a unique, two-component chemical system that makes possible unprecedented control of the dynamics of concrete setting time. Returned plastic concrete treated with the DELVO System can be kept in plastic state in the drum of a read-mix truck or in a central holding vessel for a few hours, overnight or over a weekend. The Delvo treated concrete, when combined with freshly manufacture concrete-either the same day, the nest day or after a weekend-will result in concrete performance equal or superior to a reference concrete manufactures conventionally.
The efficiencies possible with this unique control of concrete's setting dynamics touch on virtually every aspect of concrete construction. They translate into higher profits for everyone involved in concrete manufacture and usage, and important environmental advantages.
Components: One component of the DELVO System is DELVO Stabilizer. When mixed into returned plastic concrete, the DELVO Stabilizer stops cement hydration by forming a protective barrier around cementitious particles. This barrier prevents Portland cement, fly ash and granulated slag from achieving initial set.
The other component, DELVO Activator 1 when dispensed into stabilized concrete, overcomes the effect of the protective barrier around cementitious particles, and allows cement hydration to proceed as normal.

POZZOLITH 400N high range water reducing admixture
Pozzolith 400N admixture is a high-range water-reducing, admixture designed to produce concrete with the workability needed to facilitate placement. Flowable concrete with maximum, high-early strength gain is readily attainable through the use of this admixture. It meets the requirements of ASTM C 494 Types A and F, specifically:
Increased strength
Relative durability to damage from freezing and thawing-well above industry standards
Reduced water content required for a given workability
Normal setting characteristics

POLYHEED RI superior pumping/finishing admixture
POLYHEED RI multi-component, non-chloride, mid-range water-reducing and retarding admixture is formulated to produce:
1. True mid-range (5-15%) water reduction and excellent performance across a wide range slump range, especially the difficult range of 6-8 inches (150-200 mm) slump concrete
2. Extended concrete setting time characteristics throughout the recommended dosage range
3. Superior workability, pumpability and finish ability qualities even in concrete mixes using low amounts of cementitious materials and/or fly ash mixes
4. Strength performance comparable to water-reducing and retarding admixtures at all ages
5. Improved performance with a wide range of cements, fly ashes, granulated slags, and aggregates (including coarse and manufactures sands).POLYHEED RI admixture meets ASTM C494 requirements for Type B, retarding admixtures and Type D, water-reducing and retarding admixtures, specifically:
Reduced water content for a given slump
Extended setting time characteristics
I ncreased compressive and flexural strength performance at all ages
Improved concrete durability to damage from freezing and thawing
Reduced shrinkageFor further information on POLYHEED, please click here
RHEOMIX 630S for Masonry (moderate swipe)
RHEOMIX 630S admixture is specially formulated for more cost-efficient manufacture of concrete masonry. RHEOMIX 630S admixture provides numerous benefits as a result of improving cement dispersion and hydration. Green strength of concrete products is improved through better paste coverage of aggregate particles. This also results in higher early and ultimate compressive strength. RHEOMIX 630S admixture produces a light to moderate swipe or surface mortar web depending on the mix design in use and the admixture dosage selected. This admixture is supplied as a ready-to-use liquid and is accurately delivered through dispensing systems provided and maintained by MASTER BUILDERS Inc.
APPLICATIONS:
Concrete block
Concrete brick
Landscaping units
Paving stones
Dry-cast pipeFor further information on RHEOMIX 630S, please click here
RHEOMIX RHEOPEL
RHEOMIX RHEOPEL is a ready-to-use water-repellent admixture for use in the manufacture of normal, medium, and lightweight concrete block. RHEOLEL admixture uses time-proven technology to provide a highly effective means of preventing moisture from entering concrete masonry walls. RHEOPEL admixture-treated concrete block is particularly useful in single-white exterior wall applications, both above and below grade. When added to concrete masonry mix, RHEOPEL admixture disperses evenly and reacts to form a water-repellent network throughout its mass. Polymers contained in RHEOPEL admixtures provide added resistance to wind-driven rain, superior water-repellent performance, and long-lasting service life.
